January is coming to a quick end.

February will come with a Black History Project and lots and lots of CRCT review!

This week we are reviewing Main Idea, Details in Passages, Place Value and Number Sense.  Please remember to check your child’s homework and agenda each night!

The first semester has come and gone so rapidly. We have added, subtracted, multiplied and divided. Along with reading, reading, reading! Please make sure that the students continue to practice all their skills over the long holiday break. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday. SEE YOU IN 2010!!

BURRRR…..It sure is mighty cool and brisk. The students seem to love this type of weather. They don’t like to wear a coat and seem to enjoy walking in the rain without an umbrella. :)

Objectives for the week:

Social Studies: Complete Chapter 6 on Resources and Trade

Science: Introduce Natural Resources

Math: Using Data and Graphs

Language: Verbs

Reading: South America…graphic sources, main idea, and fluency

*We will observe Drug Awareness and Red Ribbon Week

Awesome Third Grade Parents!!

We are off to a very busy week! The students are working extremely hard to stay organized and focused in the classroom.

This  week ,we have Parent Teacher Association meeting (PTA) on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.  Wednesday is also Early Release Day. Please mark your calendars

Academic focus:

English-Language Arts: Summarizing and singular/possessive nouns

Math:  Telling time, Data, and Multiplication

Social Studies: Economy (Producers and Consumers)
